Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the services offered by CameraFitter ("we", "us", or "our") operating throughout Boston and surrounding Massachusetts communities.
By accessing our services, scheduling an installation, or engaging with our company in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access our services.
1. Services Description
CameraFitter provides professional security camera installation services for residential properties throughout the greater Boston area, including but not limited to:
- Security camera system installation and setup
- Doorbell camera installation
- System configuration and integration
- Technical support and maintenance
- Training on system operation
All services are provided by trained and experienced technicians in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
2. Scheduling and Appointments
When scheduling an installation or service appointment with CameraFitter:
- Appointments must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance, subject to availability
- We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling
- Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may result in a $75 cancellation fee
- We will make every effort to arrive within the scheduled time window, but specific arrival times cannot be guaranteed
3. Payment Terms
Our payment terms are as follows:
- A 50% deposit is required to secure your installation appointment
- The remaining balance is due upon completion of the installation
- We accept major credit cards, checks, and electronic payments
- Financing options are available through our partner financial institutions
- All prices are subject to change without notice until a formal quote is provided
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued
4. Installation and Service Warranty
CameraFitter stands behind our workmanship:
- All installations come with a 1-year limited warranty on workmanship
- Equipment is covered by manufacturer warranties (varies by product)
- Warranty coverage does not include damage caused by customer misuse, accidents, or environmental factors
- Service calls related to internet connectivity issues not directly related to our installation are subject to our standard service fees
- Warranty service requests should be submitted via phone or email
5. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a successful installation and operation of your security camera system, customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about your property and technical requirements
- Ensuring access to all areas where installation work will be performed
- Providing adequate electrical outlets and internet connectivity as required
- Creating and maintaining secure passwords for your system
- Performing basic maintenance as outlined in the user manuals
- Promptly reporting any issues or malfunctions
6. Privacy and Data Security
CameraFitter respects your privacy and the security of your data:
- We do not access your camera feeds without explicit permission
- During installation and service, we may require temporary access to your system for setup and troubleshooting
- We do not store, copy, or share any footage from your cameras
- Customer contact information is kept secure and used only for service-related communications

7. Legal Compliance
Customers are responsible for using security cameras in compliance with all applicable laws:
- Security cameras should only be installed on property you own or where you have permission to install
- Massachusetts law prohibits recording in areas where privacy is expected (bathrooms, bedrooms, etc.)
- Cameras should not be positioned to record neighboring properties without consent
- Audio recording laws vary by state - Massachusetts requires consent from all parties being recorded
- CameraFitter is not responsible for customer misuse of security systems
8. Limitation of Liability
CameraFitter provides security systems as a deterrent and monitoring solution, but cannot guarantee prevention of all security incidents. Our liability is limited as follows:
- Our maximum liability is limited to the cost of services provided
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
- We are not responsible for security breaches, property loss, or damages resulting from criminal activity
- We are not responsible for system failures due to power outages, internet disruptions, or other factors beyond our control
- Equipment warranties are provided by manufacturers and any claims should be directed accordingly
9. Service Termination
CameraFitter reserves the right to refuse or terminate service if:
- Customer requests installation for illegal purposes
- Working conditions are deemed unsafe for our technicians
- Customer is abusive or threatening to our staff
- Installation requirements exceed our technical capabilities
- Payment terms are not met
10. Changes to Terms
CameraFitter reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time:
- Updates will be posted on our website with the date of modification
- Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms
- Material changes to these terms will be communicated to active customers via email
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
